Magic: The Gathering almost feels as old as Dungeons & Dragons these days. Both deal with ancient medieval times of knights, warriors, wizards, and maybe a dragon or two and both are owned by the same company. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could merge the two together? Well it seems your wish has been granted!
Earlier this year, Wizards of the Coast released The Art of Magic: The Gathering – Zendikar, a 244 page, hardcover artbook showcasing the beauty behind the game. Rich with possibilities of using this land, WotC even say you could use this as settings behind your D&D campaigns. But stats of the races/creatures were what held you back from fully implementing this world.
In steps up Plane Shift: Zendikar; a free, 38 page pdf document that assists you in bringing this world to your RPG group. Learn more about races and beasts from Eldrazi to Surrakar, as well other helpful tidbits to get your GM on the way to painting you a picture of this magical land. Here’s a direct PDF link here to get you started. It was created with D&D fifth edition in mind.
